Helping Our Clients

Within the past 3 days, we’ve received 3 referrals from other agencies asking us to help their homeless transgender clients. It’s an unfortunate fact that all Houston emergency shelters continue to deny assistance to the homeless transgender population. Fortunately, the TG Center’s homeless program can house homeless clients and then help get them into their very own homes within just 2 weeks!

We’d like to thank everyone who’s supported our program: Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church, Dell Computers, Sir Christopher (who put on a show for us last night), our individual donors and all of you who’ve helped us round up furniture for our client’s new homes!

In addition to homeless services, the TG Center is busy doing other things as well:

TFA Food Assistance

In addition to working with homeless clients today, we brought food and medication to transgender people in need and worked to lower the HIV infection rate in our community by working with other clients in high-risk situations.
