City of Houston Transgender Task Force
The City of Houston wants the input of the transgender community and is willing to step up to the plate in order to ensure that our community is able to access the care and services we need. If you would like to participate on this City Task Force, contact Cristan Williams during one of the meetings.
Baylor College of Medicine
TFA is partnering with Baylor University to conduct a ground-breaking transgender study. TFA will be recruiting 2 transgenders for temporary paid positions in support of this TG study. Individuals hired to conduct the study will be flown to a national training where they will learn how to best execute this study.
90.1 KPFT – Queer Voices
Cristan Williams will be on Queer Voices to discuss the Transgender Center at 9 PM on Monday, October 13th.
Facilitator Training
Groups meeting at the TG Center must send their leader/facilitator to the TFA Facilitator Training on Sunday, October 19th from 1 to 4 PM. Lilly Roddy will be conducting the training. The training will help group facilitators better deal with group dynamics, conflict resolution and other growing pains. Please ensure your group is represented!
